Discipline is the key to accomplishing anything.
According to Webster’s Dictionary discipline means
- control gained by enforcing obedience or order
- orderly or prescribed conduct or pattern of behavior
- training that corrects, molds or perfects the mental faculties or moral character
Discipline and organization go hand in hand for me. In the past I struggled with discipline and organization in my personal life with things like working out, house stuff; like washing clothes AND folding and putting them away, keeping my car clean – even with children it’s possible, sticking to a morning routine, etc.
Business wise my discipline is there, but I slack with my organization, which became a huge problem a few months ago as I was developing multiple businesses and trying to still operate existing ones. But it really just comes down to managing your time and prioritizing your to do list in a way that is conducive to you accomplishing your goals.
What has really helped me these last few months with my organization is the Day Designer, which ultimately has helped me with disciplining myself to get more things done. This is the 2nd Day Designer that I’ve purchased and honestly they are a bit pricey. I actually caught this one on sale for $29.50. Even though it’s half way into the year, purchasing this is definitely worth it!
